I never realized the profound impact my portraits could have on clients, until one of them called and said that her father had passed a week after our session. It hit me hard since we had just been together, but I also had just been looking at his face for hours while I did retouching of their photos. They said that the photos I had taken of him would ensure they never forget his smile. Sadly, that wasn't the last time I've had a call like that.  I've been doing this for many years now and those calls, sadly, are a part of life. When it hit me that these photos are that important, it became that much more important to me.
